Daily Handouts
Having an organized classroom is essential for teachers and students. These folders contain all handouts for the week.  This system works well when a student is absent or has misplaced their paper.   The red folders are for algebra students, while the blue are for biology students.  At the beginning of each week I recycle all extras from the previous week.

Each organizer is made from 5 plain old folders and some clear packing tape.  There are probably 50 -100 staples holding each organizer up on my bulletin board.  I have used the same folders for 3 consecutive years.  I have had to add a few extra staples a few times each year.

Someday I hope to recycle the folders for good and be a paperless classroom.

It's not only children who grow.  Parents do too.  As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.  I can't tell my children to reach for teh sun.  All I can do is reach for it myself.  ~Joyce Maynard
